19-20 Nov 2016 Ignition MTB Season Opening
Get your riding mates together and kick off the 2016/17 MTB season with a bang. Blue Dirt Mountain Biking presents Ignition, a mountain bike event hinged on the core social elements of the rider lifestyle. 26-28 Nov 2016 Alpine Challenge
The Alpine Challenge is without doubt the toughest, most challenging, most spectacular and rewarding mountain trail run in Australia—if not the southern hemisphere. The 100 mile course runners take in six major climbs with 7,600 metres of ascent and descent including Mt Feathertop, Mt Hotham, Mt McKay, Spion Kopje, Mt Nelse and Victoria’s highest mountain, Mt Bogong and four river crossings. 28 Jan 2017 Falls Creek Dragon Boat Regatta
As the highest dragon boat event in Australia (approximately 1600 metres above sea level), this event has been held at Rocky Valley lake for over a decade now, bringing together visitors, residents and dragon boat enthusiasts from all over to compete and join in the festivities. The grassy banks of Rocky Valley Lake are a beautiful place to spend the day with the family and soak in the excitement of the races. On the foreshore there are also food and drinks available, plus on Saturday night the action continues with post-race dinners and parties throughout the village. Teams of up to 20 can register for a variety of categories and there are always opportunity for individuals to join an existing team. If you haven't paddled in a dragon boat before there is no need to worry as a range of safety and skills training sessions will ensure you are ready to race. The Victorian Dragon Boat Association provide experienced helms and instructors, they have paddles, boats and buoyancy vests. After an awards ceremony on the foreshore, it's then time to head back to the village for the official Dragon Boat After Party.
12 Mar 2017 Peaks Challenge Falls Creek
2,000 cyclists from around the globe will rise to the challenge and take on one of the world's toughest and most picturesque cycling events in the Victorian Alps, Bicycle Network's Peaks Challenge Falls Creek. The 235 kilometre loop, provides cyclists with a course that is so epic it's comparable to a Tour de France mountain stage, with three major climbs Tawonga Gap, Mount Hotham and Falls Creek. 31 Mar 2017 Regional Longest Lunch Falls Creek
The North East is renowned for its gourmet produce, excellent wines and spectacular settings. The 2016 Regional Longest Lunch combines all three in a memorable culinary experience. Catered by renowned Falls Creek restauranteur Barry Iddles (Winterhaven, Elk at Falls), the event incorporates a delectable three course set menu, drinks and canapés. All of this takes inspiration from quality gourmet producers and growers in the region. The location for this tremendous event will be revealed closer to the date. You will sip champagne and dine in style and with a Taste of Falls Creek, Alpine views this will be one of the most unique settings for a long lunch.
14-16 Apr 2017 Falls Creek Easter Festival
Celebrate Easter Falls Creek where will again host the annual Easter Festival. There are loads of activities for all ages including the Easter egg hunt, the Eggstra-ordinary egg toss, free kids club activities, outdoor cinema, summit chairlift rides, face painting, sunset tours, colouring in competitions and of course, a visit from the Easter Bunny. Special Easter activities will include an Easter Fete. Head to Falls Creek Easter Fete for games, prizes, food and fun! The friendly Visitor Information staff will be on hand to help out with your weekend plans plus some great fundraising activities for the Childcare Centre and the Primary School. Keep an eye out for the Easter Bunny as he makes his rounds on Easter Sunday and join in for the giant Easter egg hunt. How far can you throw an egg to your partner before they can't catch it? Great fun every year during the Eggstra-ordinary egg toss! Start your Easter Sunday with a big brekkie in the Village Bowl. Every kid's favourite part of Falls Creek with an Easter twist is the Kids Club. A traditional part of the Falls Creek Easter celebrations is the Ecumenical Easter Service.

Join the Falls Creek locals at this unique location, Eagle Rock, to commemorate the Centenary at the Falls Creek Dawn Service 2017. A free shuttle service will be available from the Resort. Dress warmly.
1 Jun 2017 Falls Creek Ice Plunge
Join Falls Creek locals as they take a winter plunge into Rocky Valley Dam to celebrate the first day of winter to pay homage to the snow gods for a good snow season. All entrants receive a token gift to commemorate their bravery plus there will be great prizes and giveaways for those who make the plunge in fancy dress! As always, the Falls Creek SES will be on hand with a fund-raising barbecue to warm you up. || more info
